Together We Care® was created as a part of our commitment to Connection with Our Communities. We are proud to support our local communities across Canada through various fundraising initiatives such as our Annual
Food Drive, Toy Drive, and Fill-a-Sleigh Day.

ANNUAL TOGETHER WE CARE® PROGRAMS

Every year, stores partner with a local charity of their choice to donate food and non-perishable items best suited for their neighbourhood. A big thank you goes out to our Customers for their generosity and support of our annual Food Drive.

“We are committed to feeding as many individuals in our communities as we can, especially during these times of uncertainty.  Everyone deserves to have a Thanksgiving meal on their table and food to eat.  We believe running our annual food drive is one way to make a difference in our local communities,” says Clinton Wolff, President and CEO.

We strive to be your one-stop-shop for toys for the Christmas season by delivering great value on brand name toys at great prices. Each year, stores in the chain partner with a charity of its choice and helps collect toy donations to ensure that children in need have a memorable holiday season. This annual program brings so much joy to our communities and in the last 5 years we have raised over $3MM!

“In the spirit of giving and with the help of our generous Customers, we hope to collect $650,000 worth of toys for children in need this Christmas. We want every child to feel special and have something to open this year,” says Clinton Wolff, President and CEO.

Fill-a-Sleigh Day is an annual Christmas program where our Customers fill our sleigh with toys to help bring joy to kids in their community. It’s a fun filled day and is designed to give back to local communities.

It is our 4th year hosting Fill-a-Sleigh Day, and we are looking forward to that final day helping us to reach our goal of $650,000 worth of collected toys for all the children in need this festive season. “This goal wouldn’t be possible without our supportive and generous Customers, so we want to thank you for your continuous support each and every year,” said Dave Johnson, Vice President of Store Operations.

LOCAL TOGETHER WE CARE® FUNDRAISERS

Throughout the year, stores take part in supporting community initiatives by organizing local fundraisers.

Winter Food Drive, Fort Qu’Appelle

In January 2020, the local food bank in Fort Qu’Appelle ran very low on supplies. As the temperature dropped below -35 degrees, school busses stopped running, roads were blocked and people had to wait hours on the road to get to work.

Michelle Yeo (Store Manager, The Bargain! Shop) and her store team organized a fundraiser and asked Customers to generously donate a can of soup to help keep the community warm throughout winter.

Thanks to the support from the local community, The Bargain! Shop was able to donate 312 cans of soup to the food bank to help keep families warm during the cold days.

Our stores across Canada are committed to show their support by helping their communities during difficult times.

Contact your local store for more information on the program.
